Maximise Movement was established in 2017, in Hervey Bay, Queensland by Ben Andrews. We have a qualified team of Exercise Physiologists (AEP’s) with a passion for health and fitness. Meet our wonderful team of allied healthcare professionals.

Ben Andrews

Ben is the founder of Maximise Movement. In 2015 he graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane with Honours. Since qualifying as an AEP Ben had the opportunity to work in the Mental Health sector developing and leading the Exercise Physiology program in a Hospital setting as well as working in a variety of private Wellness Centres. Ben has a passion for providing services to the local community and connecting with clients on a more personal level. This personal approach is what all the team at Maximise Movement strive for.


  • Accredited Exercise Physiologist (Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Science, Bachelor of Exercise & Movement Science (AEP AES ESSAM).
  • Graduated with Honours from the Queensland University of Technology in 2015.

Danielle Currie

Danielle graduated from the University of New England with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2020, after working as a personal trainer, specialising in rehabilitation. Danielle is an avid traveller and has worked in many countries including the USA, Canada and the UK, and has a passion for helping people of all ages and from all walks of life live their best life.

Danielle grew up playing a wide range of sports from gymnastics and horse riding, to tennis and hockey, and as such, truly believes that there is an exercise out there for everyone, and is  determined to help people find theirs, whatever that may be.

When not working, you can find Danielle spinning in an aerial hoop, running along the water, stretching it out with some yoga, or planning her next big adventure.

Jake Hodges

Jake graduated from a bachelor’s degree in Health Science (Exercise) at the Australian College of Physical Education in 2018 and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at Charles Sturt University in 2020. Prior to undertaking his current journey as an accredited exercise physiologist, Jake operated as a personal trainer since 2014 and also an ASCA certified strength and conditioning coach.

Even before undertaking his education to become an Exercise Physiologist, Jake has always held the “exercise is medicine” philosophy and has always held a passion for helping people achieve their goals through exercise.
